Parkur sank down a bit in his chair and held his breath. Had he taken things too far? He loved saying exactly what he thought.

Jacoby leaned into Juniper and whispered something into her ear. Her gaze flicked to Parkur as she nodded. A faint smile curled the corner of her mouth.
